IHC issues notices on Imran's jail rights plea

ISLAMABAD:

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued notices to the secretary interior, the secretary law, the Punjab Home Department and the Adiala Jail superintendent while hearing a petition filed against withdrawal of facilities from former prime minister Imran Khan who is detained at the Adiala Jail.

Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir of

the IHC on Tuesday heard the petition filed by Noreen Niazi.

Advocate Shoaib Shaheen appeared in court on behalf of the petitioner, arguing that the PTI founder has been deprived of B-class facilities that he is entitled to in prison.
