Pakistan’s Foreign Office has issued a travel advisory, urging its citizens to avoid non-essential travel to Iraq due to escalating tensions in the region, according to Express News. The advisory follows recent unrest and instability, particularly in areas near Baghdad.

“Given the latest developments in the region, Pakistani citizens are advised to avoid traveling to Iraq until conditions return to normal and airline operations are fully restored,” the Foreign Office spokesperson said on Thursday.

The region has seen a rise in conflict, affecting both security and airline operations. The advisory stresses caution until the situation stabilises.

To assist citizens, the Foreign Office has provided contact details for the Pakistani Embassy in Baghdad for guidance and support. The embassy remains operational to facilitate Pakistani nationals during this period of uncertainty.

Amid escalating tensions in the Middle East, several airlines cancelled flights scheduled following a major rocket attack by Iran on Israel.
