Sri Lanka's Air Force Commander, Air Marshal RA Udeni P. Rajapaksa, met with Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza in Rawalpindi on Thursday, reaffirming their countries' commitment to bolstering bilateral defence and security ties, Pakistan’s military said.
During the meeting at Joint Staff Headquarters, both sides emphasised their mutual dedication to strengthening collaboration in defence and security sectors, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
General Mirza highlighted the value of Pakistan's enduring relationship with Sri Lanka, underscoring the shared commitment to fortifying bilateral ties.
Air Marshal Rajapaksa praised the professionalism of the Pakistani armed forces, acknowledging their achievements in counter-terrorism and their efforts toward regional peace and stability.
Upon his arrival, Air Marshal Rajapaksa was presented with a ‘Guard of Honour’ by a tri-services contingent at Joint Staff Headquarters.
