Pakistan’s security forces killed nine terrorists, including two suicide bombers, during an operation in the Bajaur district, according to the military’s media wing, ISPR.

The operation was conducted on the night of October 23-24, following intelligence reports of the militants' presence in the area.

Security forces targeted the terrorists' hideout with precision, the ISPR said.

Following an intense exchange of fire, nine terrorists were killed. Among those eliminated were two suicide bombers and a key terrorist ringleader identified as Saeed, also known as Qureshi Ustad.

A significant cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was recovered during the intelligence-based operation targeting the terrorists, who were reportedly involved in several attacks targeting security forces and civilians.

The operation is ongoing as security forces continue efforts to clear the area of remaining militants.

Pakistan’s military remains determined to eradicate the threat of terrorism from the country, ISPR added.

CTD arrests three suspected Fitna al-Khawarij terrorists in Karachi

Meanhile, he Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has arrested three suspected terroritsts linked to the Fitna al-Khawarij group.

The suspects, identified as Farhad, Haji Rehman, and Sagheer, were captured in a raid following intelligence reports, according to CTD officials.

The arrests come after an attack on a police checkpoint in Sohrab Goth, where one officer, Yasir, was killed, and another, Salman Abbas, was injured.

Fitnatul Khawarij had claimed responsibility for the assault. DSP CTD, Chaudhry Safdar, revealed that the suspects were involved in multiple attacks on police forces.

During the operation, authorities seized three pistols. The CTD stated that the arrested militants were part of the Molana Bashir faction of Fitna al-Khawarij and had recently been assigned to carry out further attacks. The confiscated weapons will undergo forensic testing.
