Road blocked over crimes

Citizens staged a protest demonstration against poor performance of Nishatabad police by blocking a road near Dengru Bridge due to rising crime in the area.

The protest caused significant disruptions, as the road remained closed for several hours.

Police officers reached the scene and negotiated with the protesters, ensuring to enhance patrolling on the main roads.

After receiving this assurance, the citizens agreed to disperse. The area around the Nishatabad Police Station, particularly at Sargodha Road Chowki Pul Dangro, is notorious for robberies targeting residents. Robbers frequently attack traders heading to the market early in the morning. Citizens protest against raising crime and blocked Sargodha Road and chanted slogans against the Nishatabad police.
