ISLAMABAD:

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday ordered Attorney General of Pakistan (AGP) Mansoor Usman Awan to consult with the counsels in the recovery case of the missing focal person of the PTI founder, Intizar Hussian Panjutha Advocate.

The court directed the AGP to collect the details from lawyers Ali Bokhari and Faisal Chaudhry and then approach the institutions. The case will be scheduled for rehearing later.

A representative of the Ministry of Defence (MoD) informed the court that the missing lawyer was not with the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) or the Military Intelligence (MI). The AGP said he would look into the matter.

Earlier, the IHC Chief Justice Aamir Farooq heard the petition related to the recovery of Panjutha. Advocate Faisal Chaudhary, who appeared in the court on behalf of the petitioner, told the court that his client Intizar Panjutha's mobile number was taken from them after his disappearance, and a story regarding a text message received by Barrister Ali Khan Saif, was concocted. Panjutha's mobile number was used by someone else, he further said. The MoD's representative informed the court that the reports of both intelligence agencies were the same and that they didn't have the said person in their custody.
