Federal Secretary for Education, Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani, emphasised the crucial role of donor organisations in supporting education in regions where state capacity is limited.

He was speaking at the conference titled ECW Creating Impact Together: Mobilising Resources for Inclusive Education organised by MYRP consortium partners RSPN, UNICEF, and VSO in Islamabad on Wednesday.

Wani stressed the importance of improving infrastructure resilience against natural disasters and noted that the second phase of the Multi-Year Resilience Programme (MYRP) would significantly boost Pakistan's education sector. The official highlighted the collaborative efforts to enhance education in disaster-prone areas.

Emergency Manager at ECW Geneva, Robert Edward Dutton, commended Pakistan's flood response and urged new partnerships for sustainable education funding. He announced ECW's support for the second phase of MYRP, building on lessons learned from the first phase.

MYRP Focal Person, Ehsanullah, delivered a presentation on the background and overview of the MYRP, highlighting the programme's key outcomes.
