Sohai Ali Abro recently sat down on Gup Shab with Vasay Chaudhry sharing her thoughts on returning to the screen after a significant break. Having starred in popular films such as Wrong No and Jawani Phir Nahi Ani, she had been out of the public eye for a few years, focusing on her personal life, which included marrying cricketer Shehzar Mohammad and welcoming their daughter in 2022.

Reflecting on this hiatus, she admitted, "I felt like I had forgotten how to act because for three to four years I was completely isolated and had no connection to the art." She opened up about the nerves she felt stepping back into the world of acting after such a long pause, confessing that she was anxious before filming her first scene post-return. However, stepping back onto set proved to be a transformative experience. "When I walked on to set, I felt like I had been here the entire time," she revealed.

She went on to describe the impact motherhood had on the perception of her career. "I also thought I would probably not even want to act again because when you become a mother, all your priorities shift and everything changes." While she didn't personally feel much had changed, those around her seemed to notice a difference, particularly director Nadeem Baig. "After a scene, I went up to him and asked if it was okay and he said that I have calmness in me after marriage and a baby," she recalled, acknowledging that this observation surprised her.

Even with these potential changes, Sohai insisted that her core personality remained intact. "I haven't noticed this myself, but people around me will be able to tell me if it's true. All my wackiness and energy is still very much there."
