Deadly row: Three people dead over land dispute

Men have been fighting for over four to five years over four acres of agricultural land

Three members of a family were killed while a man was injured in an armed clash between two groups of the Dahar clan over a piece of land in Daharki. Three brothers Gul Hassan Dahar, Noor Hassan Dahar and Ali Hassan Dahar have been fighting for over four to five years over four acres of agricultural land on the outskirts of Shahbaz Dahar village. On Sunday, Noor Hassan, his son Sajjad and a friend, Abdul Haleem Dahar, went to the area and had an argument with Abbas Dahar, Noor’s nephew. Both sides drew weapons and Sajjad, Abbas and Abdul Haleem died as a result. Noor Hassan was critically injured. He was rushed to Rahim Yar Khan. Daharki SHO Khalid Hussain Memon told The Express Tribune that the brothers have been fighting for the last five years. According to him, the men had been asked to resolve the matter but had refused to do so.
