Charlie Kirk criticizes Christians who support Kamala Harris, claims they vote against God's will
Political commentator Charlie Kirk recently expressed strong views on Christians who vote for Democratic vice-presidential candidate Kamala Harris, accusing them of voting against God's principles. In a statement made on October 22, Kirk said, "Kamala Harris is wired to be repulsed by the name of God. She mocks God. Again, everything Democrats love, God hates." Kirk's comments reflect a broader criticism of Democratic policies, as he emphasized that supporting the Democratic Party contradicts Christian values.
Kirk continued by asserting, "If you're a Christian that votes to the Democrat Party, you are voting for things that God hates." He highlighted that voting in alignment with Democratic policies is, in his view, a personal matter between individuals and God, reiterating, "Think about it. If you're voting for the Democrat Party, you're voting for stuff that God hates."
The founder of Turning Point USA, a conservative organization, Kirk has been an outspoken supporter of former President Donald Trump and frequently voices his conservative Christian beliefs. His remarks come as the political climate intensifies ahead of the 2024 U.S. election.
Kirk's statement adds to a long-running narrative among conservative circles that positions religious values in opposition to certain Democratic policies, including those championed by Harris. His comments were widely shared and sparked debate about the role of religion in politics.
