The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has said that individuals who filed their returns on time or within the extended deadline, their names will be included in the list of active taxpayers.
According to FBR notification, those who file returns after the extended deadline, they will have to pay the surcharge to get their names included in the list of active taxpayers.
As per notification, the surcharge will be applicable under Section 182 A of Income Tax Ordinance 2001.
Those who file their returns in the revenue board of Azad Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan, their names will also be included in the list of active taxpayers.
