Commodore Shehzad Iqbal promoted to rank of Rear Admiral in Pakistan Navy

In recognition of his outstanding service, Rear Admiral Shehzad Iqbal has been awarded the Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military)

Commodore Shehzad Iqbal has been promoted to the rank of Rear Admiral, according to a statement from the Pakistan Navy on Monday.

Rear Admiral Iqbal was commissioned into the Operations Branch of the Pakistan Navy in 1995.

A graduate of the Pakistan Navy War College, Lahore, and the National Defence University, Islamabad, Rear Admiral Iqbal has also earned a BSc in Naval Sciences from Karachi University and completed a Gunnery Officer Command Course in China.

Throughout his distinguished career, he has held various command and staff appointments. These include serving as the Commanding Officer of PNS Saif, Commander of Jinnah Naval Base Ormara, and leading the 25th Destroyer Squadron of the Pakistan Navy.

In addition to his command roles, Rear Admiral Iqbal has served as Senior Staff Officer (Operations and Plans) at the Pakistan Fleet Headquarters, Director of Foreign Military Collaboration, Director of Naval Operational Plans, and Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Operations) at the Naval Headquarters.

In recognition of his outstanding service, Rear Admiral Shehzad Iqbal has been awarded the Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military).
