National Softball Championship to begin

The event starting Oct 30 will feature five teams

KPT 7th National Men's Softball Championship being organized under the auspices of Softball Federation of Pakistan will be played from 23rd to 25th October at KPT Football Stadium, Karachi.

Sindh Softball Association is hosting the championship.

Dr. Farhan Essa will be the Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Muhammad Zeeshan Merchant Secretary and Muhammad Nasir will be the Event Director. Teams from Pakistan Army, Pakistan Wapda, Pakistan Police, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan and host Sindh are participating in the championship.

Karachi Port Trust is the title sponsor of the championship in collaboration, the Sports Department of the Government of Sindh, Dr. Essa Lab and Combaxx Sports. The managers meeting of the teams participating in the event will be held on October 22nd.

Addressing the meeting held to finalize the arrangements for the event, the Patron of Softball Federation of Pakistan, Ronak Lakhani, said that holding the Men's National Championship will be very helpful in the further promotion and development of softball in the country.

Such events will provide ample opportunities to discover new talent to express their abilities to young players at the national level.

The atmosphere of healthy competition between the players will increase mutual harmony and brotherhood to bring them closer at national level. Patronage of the softball game from the government and private sectors is welcome.

The president of the federation, Asif Azeem, said that the national championship is an excellent platform for the players, in which they can represent the national team by performing prominently.

The Federation is grateful for the cooperation of KPT, the title sponsor of the event, Department of Sports Sindh and other organizations for their support.

Sindh Softball Association's President Dr. Farhan Essa said that providing an ideal environment to the players during the National Men's Championship is our first priority as the host. We will try our best to organize the said event in an excellent manner.
