For the first time in the history of the city, a school for public transport drivers will be established.
The traffic police will establish this school, where drivers will be trained on traffic rules, signals, and how to interact positively with the public.
Drivers of buses, Qingqis, vans, and rickshaws will benefit from this initiative.
According to Chief Traffic Officer Saud Khan, in the first phase, 100 drivers will be taught how to drive. The City Traffic Police has decided to set up driving schools with a specific focus on training LTV (light transport vehicle) drivers.
This decision was made considering the needs and convenience of the public. Initially, 100 drivers will receive driving training. The driving school will be established at the Lahore Bus Terminal to facilitate the drivers. Special emphasis will be placed on training drivers to maintain a positive attitude towards passengers.
Additionally, drivers will be psychologically prepared to ensure passenger safety and to avoid reckless driving.
They will also be trained to handle emergency situations effectively and remain mentally strong in stressful circumstances.
