HARIPUR:

The ongoing strike of patwaris in Haripur has entered its second month, leaving complainants in limbo and causing widespread frustration. Despite Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's (PTI) high promises of system reform, the provincial government has failed to resolve the deadlock, with the provincial finance minister appearing powerless in addressing the public's growing concerns.

Landlords and those involved in land transfers are facing mounting difficulties as the strike drags on.

Citizens criticised government representatives, accusing them of neglecting their responsibilities while continuing to draw their salaries from the public treasury.

The strike, which began after anti-corruption authorities in Haripur arrested several patwaris on corruption charges, has severely disrupted access to basic property documents. While influential individuals reportedly have their documents processed privately by patwaris, ordinary citizens are left to navigate a bureaucratic nightmare.
