Liam Payne’s fans are grieving the superstar’s tragic death after he fell from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires on Wednesday.
The former One Direction singer was confirmed dead at the scene, according to a police statement. They reported that he fell from the third floor of the Casa Sur Hotel located in the trendy Palermo district. Medics also confirmed his passing in an official statement.
Alberto Crescenti, head of the state emergency medical service, told Argentina's Todo Noticias TV channel that Payne fell into the hotel’s courtyard. He mentioned that authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death and conducting an autopsy. In a statement, Crescenti said, "At 17.04 through the 911 integrated public safety system, we were alerted of a person who was in an internal courtyard of the management of a south house hotel."
He continued, "At 17.11 a SAME team arrived and verified the death of this man and later we found out that he was a singer in a musical group. Unfortunately, he had injuries that were incompatible with life, as a result of his fall, so we had to confirm his death, there was no possibility of resuscitation."

During his time in Argentina, Liam was seen attending Niall Horan’s performance. He was spotted in the audience, singing along with the crowd. Before his trip, he had posted on social media, writing: "We're going to Argentina. One, because we have to, and two, because we want to, and three, because Niall Horan's playing down there and I think we might just go and say 'Hello'."
