Sajid Khan's break Mushtaq Ahmed's 24-year Test record

Pakistan's spinner Sajid Khan made history by claiming seven wickets in the ongoing second Test match against England at Multan Cricket Stadium, breaking a 24-year-old record previously held by legendary spinner Mushtaq Ahmed.

In a standout performance, Sajjid took five wickets in the first innings, showcasing exceptional skill, particularly during a remarkable spell where he dismissed three English batsmen in just ten balls during the closing session of play on the second day.

His efforts marked him as the first Pakistani spinner to achieve such a feat on home soil since Mushtaq's record in 2000.

After winning the toss and opting to bat first, Pakistan posted a solid total of 366 runs. Debutant Kamran Ghulam was a highlight of the innings, scoring a commendable 118 runs, supported by Saim Ayub, who contributed 77 runs.

In response, England struggled to adapt to the conditions, being dismissed for 291 runs in their first innings within the opening hour of the third day.
