A case has been registered against a fabricated video related to claims of a college student's rape in Lahore.

According to the FIR, filed by the police at Lahore's Defence A Police Station, claims of an alleged sexual assault of a female student went viral on social media. To verify the incident, inquiries were made from several students.

The concerned girl and her parents completely denied the incident. The parents stated that their daughter fell at home on October 2, causing serious injuries.

The FIR further mentions that the girl was treated at Ittefaq and General Hospitals until October 11, with a recommendation of 15 days of bed rest.

Following her injury, the girl did not attend college or go elsewhere. The false reports damaged the family's reputation, and the video was made solely to defame them with no basis in truth.

The incident was used as part of a conspiracy to mislead students and the public against government institutions. This incited people to protest, leading to riots, arson, and vandalism.
