The 2024 BET Hip-Hop Awards concluded in grand style, with Kendrick Lamar and Nicki Minaj dominating the evening as the top victors.
The star-studded event aired on October 15, following its taping in the entertainment capital, Las Vegas, on October 8. The show, hosted by Fat Joe for a record-breaking third consecutive year, saw Megan Thee Stallion leading the charge with a staggering 12 nominations.
Kendrick Lamar, who was hot on Megan's heels with 11 nods, earned most of his recognition from his searing Drake diss track ‘Not Like Us’, along with his electrifying verse on the Metro Boomin’ smash hit ‘Like That’.
But when the dust settled, it was Kendrick Lamar who reigned supreme, taking home an astonishing eight awards out of his 11 nominations, while Megan Thee Stallion shockingly went home empty-handed.
Lamar's triumphs included some of the night’s most prestigious honors like Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Music Video of the Year, Lyricist of the Year, and more. Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj celebrated a massive win, securing Album of the Year for *‘Pink Friday 2’*.
Other noteworthy victories saw rising star Sexyy Red crowned Breakthrough Artist, while the UK’s Ghetts snagged the highly coveted Best International Flow title.
