Sean "Diddy" Combs, the rapper and music producer, has wished his 2-year-old daughter Love a happy birthday from behind bars as he awaits trial on human trafficking charges. In a post on Instagram, Combs wrote, "Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday, baby Love! Happy Birthday to you!! ❤️🫶🏽Happy Birthday @loveseancombs daddy loves you 🎂🎉🎈."
Combs, 54, was arrested on September 16 and charged with racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, and interstate transportation for the purpose of prostitution. He has been denied bail twice, with judges citing him as a "danger" and a flight risk.
The rapper's social media update comes as he faces multiple lawsuits from men and women who claim he sexually assaulted them. One lawsuit alleges that Combs orally sexually assaulted a man in a Macy's department store stockroom and later threatened to kill him. Another lawsuit claims that Combs drugged and sodomized a man in a van outside of one of his White Parties in 2006.
Combs' legal team has denied the claims, stating, "Mr. Combs and his legal team have full confidence in the facts, their legal defenses, and the integrity of the judicial process. In court, the truth will prevail: that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted anyone — adult or minor, man or woman."
