What about doing something ourselves? Why start with begging and than thinking about doing something?
If we kept begging than we probably won't have any friends left any more.
China Best Friend Iran: Better than the Best Friend
USA: Worst Friend India: Best Enemy.
All donations collected for flood victims needs to be invested for construction of small houses at allevated places for flood effectees and Dams may be constructed to store flood water .It is unfortunate that there is a genetal perception that flood Aid is eaten up by curruption. How ullucky we are that we eat Khairat and Zakat collected for poors in the name of flood victims.
This coming from Iran is surprising but, not in a bad way. China wasn't much of a surprise. Well, that isn't completely true. I think anyone finding the lack of response being shown from them a little funny also would expect something from them eventually, too. It was just far too much of a contradiction to their claims which were almost obsessively publicized. The surprise is the amount they ended up giving. I never would have guessed it'd really be that low. That amount comes off more as hush money for the critics.
Also the claims of them being first are just too funny. Everyone sees how Pakistan jumps at the chance to mention any of their interactions with China. It would not have been shown this late. I wouldn't be surprised if it actually came from someone mentioning the negative views of the relationship that could be caused by it so they tossed some pocket change in Pakistan's general direction. But, that wouldn't fix the damage because of how late it is. Putting it on the front page was the only way to not make China look bad and if anyone actually sets aside their blindfold for a minute and looks at what China responds to most severely and quickly about will find it's usually something about their image. If that's not enough, take this article for example. Note how quickly it was announced after Iran decided to donate and anyone else who made offers for that matter. China being first and the timing of it being mentioned do not support those claims at all.
hmmm Gillani is getting Rich & richer . People please not a single Penny will go to those Poor People in Help . After a few days they will say since no money they will make US pay
@malikimran: dont agree. how much did UAE, KSA give you? They did and they shouldnt. We are beggars and will go and ask from anyone...
@Rock: Shame on you for such rubbish comment. It is state responsibility to protect wahabi, shia, sunni, deobandi, bralvi, non muslims, all ethnic groups and foreigners; that is everyone on this Pak land.
India just gave $750 million in terms of soft loans to Bangladesh to fix ties!! India should give Pakistan about $500 million too for protecting Sufis, Hindus and Ahmadiyas who live in India peacefully in large numbers.
This is really generous of Iran. Considering the Economy of Iran is in a fix due to sanctions this is really generous.
Iran Pak Friendship Zindaabad.... agar Iran aor Pakistan Difaai Muahida kar lein to koi inka kuch nahi Bigar sakta
India just gave a payment for Iran crude oil - probably this is where the money came from.
First the Iranian Foreign Minister visits Pakistan and then the Pakistani PM visits Iran and then the Iranian Interior Minister will visit Pakistan.........!Now its Ms Khar's turn... Ringa Ringa Roses....
Gilani forgot to repeat his famous line: Pakistan is Iran and Iran is Pakistan:)
Mr PM and other bosses,
When are you imposing additional income/flood tax on the already overtaxed salaried class? Democracy is the best revenge!!
Perhaps Iran should spend a little on their own people before Arab Spring hit their too!
did we really need this aid from other countries?
Pakistan should have TRUE, TRUER, TRUEST FRIEND auction every year and check out friends!!!
Plus the millions aid
China Embassy gave 4 million dollars. Dont judge country on its donations. China will give more but appreciate this step by iran
When it comes to foreign relations and trade, there is no doubt, Gilani and Zardari team are doing a great job!!!
And now I wonder whose pockets this "aid" will end up in......
Praises well deserved. Good job!!
Iran, KSA, China, Turkey and UAE are the true friends of Pakistan. Regardless of this thing if they give us aid or not. USA is master of Pakistani governments. Agree?
China got true friend title for $4.7 million, i dont know what Iran would become with $100 million......or may be china will lose this title....
Oops .. My mistake 4.7M NOT 47.9M from the TRUE Friend!!!
woot woot woot! :O CHINA - $4.7m IRAN - $100m ? * jaws open *
IRAN loves us more than Chinese do .. 100M Vs 47.9M
Iran not true friend?
Pak-Iran friendship , way to go!!!!
Message is clear just protect shias we will give much more than china.
True friends: China first country to offer flood aid: US$4.70 million
Iran to give $100 million for flood affected in Sindh: a brotherly neighbor.
In near future: USA gives US500 million + materials: Pakistanis enemy # 1.
Pakistan politicians give US$ 0.00 million: I am a politician, I only take.
Iran is a tiny economy compared to China. What is the ratio of their GDP vs China? However, it is a generous gift for the poor people who are the victim of floods. Action speaks louder than empty words. I wonder if Sind had many madrasas then the Saudis and UAE would be rushing for help! Now that Iran has set and example, the other "brothers" would follow. The aid must come in the form of goods and spent on the people it is intended for.
long Live Pak-Iran Friendship..
Please use that money wisely and help those poor and innocent people who are suffering in the wake of this natural disaster. Don't use it to fill your pockets or train insurgents like Afghan taliban to kill more innocent people in Afghanistan.
