Jamie Foxx, 56, returned to the stage for the first time since his serious health scare in April 2023. During his one-man show, One More Chance: An Evening with Jamie Foxx, held in Atlanta on October 3-5, the actor and musician reflected on his journey to recovery. In an emotional Instagram post on Monday, Foxx shared photos from the event, writing, “God is good… my heart and soul is filled with nothing but pure joy.” He added, “I haven’t been on stage in 18 years, but I needed the stage and an audience made up of pure love.”

Foxx also expressed gratitude to the city of Atlanta and Piedmont Hospital, where he received treatment, stating, “Thanks to the great people in Atlanta… you enabled me to come back and do what I love to do the most.” Foxx appeared emotional in the photos, wiping his eyes while thanking the audience.

In April 2023, Foxx’s daughter, Corinne, announced that her father had experienced a medical complication. Foxx later revealed he was hospitalized after taking Advil for a headache, saying, “I was gone for 20 days… I don’t remember anything.”

Foxx’s health scare forced him to step away from filming and hosting Beat Shazam, but he has since returned to the show. In September 2024, he also walked Corinne down the aisle at her wedding to Joe Hooten.
