Kanye West allegedly living 'upper class homeless' in Tokyo while working on new album 'Bully'
Kanye West, 47, is reportedly living an unconventional lifestyle while working on his upcoming album 'Bully' in Tokyo.
According to music journalist Touré, West is leading an "upper class homeless" existence, residing in a luxury hotel room in the Japanese metropolis while avoiding paparazzi and public scrutiny.
A friend of West commented, "In Japan, people see him, but they’re very quiet. They’re very respectful. He can move around Japan with no security."
This peace of mind, according to sources, is allowing the rapper to focus entirely on his music, with one insider noting that West is producing everything himself, "This album is 100% Kanye West, which it hasn’t been in many, many years."
West's Tokyo stay comes as he faces mounting legal issues, including a lawsuit from his former assistant, Lauren Pisciotta, who claims West sent her inappropriate messages.
Pisciotta’s legal team also alleges that West texted his wife Bianca Censori about wanting to sleep with her mother, writing, "I wanna f*** your mom before she leaves." Pisciotta claims West sent a screenshot of the message to her with the caption, "Just took the toxicities up a level."
In addition to the legal troubles, West has also sparked public interest by fueling speculation about his marriage to Censori.
Reports of their impending divorce were debunked when the couple was seen indulging in a public display of affection in Tokyo. Some insiders believe that the divorce rumors were orchestrated to generate buzz around West's latest musical projects.
Amid all the drama, West continues to make headlines for his music, including the release of his August album 'Vultures 2,' a collaboration with Ty Dolla Sign. Despite his personal and professional challenges, West remains a significant figure in the music industry, having sold over 160 million records and won 24 Grammy Awards.
