Gold prices in Pakistan saw a sharp rise on Friday, aligning with the increase in international markets. In the local market, the price of gold per tola surged by Rs2,700, reaching Rs273,900, according to data from the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold rose by Rs2,315, standing at Rs234,825. This increase comes after a slight drop in prices on Thursday, when the rate per tola had decreased by Rs500 to settle at Rs271,200.
Internationally, gold rates also climbed on Friday, with prices reaching $2,640 per ounce, including a $20 premium, up by $27 for the day. Last month, gold prices in Pakistan hit an all-time high of Rs277,000 per tola.
