Rod Wave, known for releasing a project every year since 2017, has just added another milestone to his career with the release of his 2024 album, 'Last Lap.' The 23-track project includes guest appearances from Lil Baby, Lil Yachty, and Rylo Rodriguez. While features are rare in Wave's music, these artists add a fresh dimension to the album.
Two singles from 'Last Lap,' "Passport Junkies" and "Fall Fast in Love," have already made their way to the Billboard Hot 100. "Passport Junkies" sits at No. 97, while "Fall Fast in Love" debuted at No. 68, marking Wave's 72nd entry on the chart.
Next on the horizon for Rod Wave is his 'Last Lap' Tour, which will kick off in Phoenix on October 19. He will be joined by Moneybagg Yo and Toosii for the North American leg of the tour, which will make stops in cities like Houston, Memphis, Detroit, and Brooklyn before concluding in Ft. Lauderdale on December 18.
With this release, Rod Wave is vying for his fourth consecutive chart-topping album, facing competition from GloRilla’s debut, 'Glorious.' His 2023 album, 'Nostalgia,' debuted atop the Billboard 200, with all 18 tracks also making it onto the Billboard Hot 100.
