In a major development in the investigation into Sunday's suicide bombing outside the airport in Karachi, police arrested an alleged facilitator of suicide bomber in a raid in Karachi's Malir neighbourhood, sources said on Thursday.
The sources said that arrested man was a close relative of the alleged suicide bomber, Shah Fahad. They added that before the suicide bombing, Shah Fahad had stayed at his home. The police also found out about a backup vehicle from, which a video of the bombing was made.
The video taken from the backup vehicle was also found by the investigating agencies in which the attacker's vehicle could be seen before the attack, the sources said, adding that the alleged accomplice had also met with the suicide bomber in a hotel in the Saddar locality of the metropolis.
The government said it had committed to prioritising Chinese security.
