ISLAMABAD:

An Accountability Court Islamabad has acquitted Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and 16 others in Nooriabad Power Plant case as the NAB withdrew the reference.

According to the decision written by Judge Nasir Javed Rana, no evidence of getting personal benefits was found against the Sindh CM and others during the investigation.

The reference was presented before the NAB executive meeting on September 11, and no incriminating evidence showing excessive spending on the project came to the fore during the probe. The NAB chairman has the authority to withdraw the reference at any stage of the trial.
