YouTuber, boxer, and musician Olajide "KSI" has recently responded to the growing criticism surrounding his new single, "Thick of It," featuring Trippie Redd, released on October 3. KSI took to Instagram on October 7, expressing frustration over the online negativity. In his post, KSI stated, "Imagine spending so much time and effort into making a song for people to then repeatedly take the p*ss out of it online. I get it's trendy to hate me rn, but can we like move on?"

The backlash comes after mixed reviews of "Thick of It," with fans and critics finding the song generic and lacking in substance. Popular YouTuber Jon Denton described the track as "inoffensive" but "passable," noting that while it isn't horrible, it falls short of expectations. Music reviewer Scru Face Jean also labeled the song as mediocre.

Adding to the drama, KSI's ongoing feud with Jake Paul has amplified the criticism. Paul mocked the song on social media, sarcastically commenting that it made his elderly grandfather stand up just to turn it off. This post quickly gained traction, adding fuel to the ongoing critiques.

Despite initially taking the criticism lightly, KSI's recent statements indicate that the negativity has become overwhelming, and he hopes fans will move on from this current trend of hating his music.
