LAHORE:

The PML-N-led Punjab governments doubled down on its criticism of the PTI, accusing the opposition party of spreading "anarchy" in the country after a policeman, injured during Saturday's Islamabad riots, died on Sunday.

Senior Punjab Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb said in a statement that the criminal responsible for the events of May 9, last year, were the "shameless narcissist and fascist", adding that the "thinking of burning everything down and killing everyone" did not represent the Pakistani people.

Separately, Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari stated that another uprising akin to the May 9 incident by the PTI had been thwarted. Those who claimed to bring about a revolution fled away, leaving their shoes behind.
