Rickshaw driver shot dead in revenge attack
A rickshaw driver was shot and killed in an ambush reportedly motivated by revenge for a prior attempted murder.
The incident occurred on Shadab Colony, Jhang Road, where Yousuf, 35 was attacked by rivals, including Zeeshan alias Shani.
Police said Yousuf was struck by several bullets and succumbed to his injuries at the scene. During the attack, a bullet hit the petrol tank of his rickshaw, causing it to explode into flames and burn to ashes.
Rescue 1122 teams arrived swiftly to extinguish the fire and transported Yousuf's body to the hospital for a post-mortem.
SHO Jhang Bazar, Mazhar Irfan, confirmed that the murder was an act of revenge. Yousuf's brother, Irfan, had previously shot and injured Zeeshan, resulting in Irfan's imprisonment.
Zeeshan, seeking to settle the score, targeted Yousuf in a fatal shooting on Jhang Road.
