SWABI:

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Awami National Party (ANP) President Mian Iftikhar Hussain has urged strict crackdown against terrorists, recognizing them solely as terrorists, rather than categorizing them as good or bad Taliban.

He urged the government to initiate this crackdown from Punjab, where 72 banned outfits are currently operating.

He stressed that efforts to eliminate terrorism should begin there, and a comprehensive policy should be adopted to effectively address the issue and nation should be taken into confidence to this end.

Otherwise, he warned, the situation will deteriorate further.

He expressed these views while speaking to the media after offering condolences to the family of child Iqtidar who was killed in the City Police Station blast in Swabi.

He stated that the PTI government has completely failed in establishing law and order in the province.

For the past 11 years, they have been focused on protests, fighting, and making claims of marching on Islamabad or Lahore, showing no concern for what is happening in the province, he said.

The province has become paralyzed, and the development projects have come to a halt without inviting any attention.

To bring peace to the country, both foreign and domestic policies should be revised with the consultation of the Pashtun nation and parliament.

Policies should be made in the best interest of the country and the nation. Today, the PTI government has caused the province of K-P to be plagued by tension due to terrorism, negligence, and lack of attention.

The provincial government is so occupied with protests, rallies, and processions for Khan's release that it has no time to safeguard the provincial rights, the NFC award, amendments, and other issues.
