Waseem, who last fought in 2022, suffered a unanimous decision loss to former IBF flyweight champion Sunny Edwards. This marks his return after two years, with a renewed determination to prove his skills on the global stage.

The 37-year-old ‘Falcon’ has a professional record of 12-2, including eight knockouts, since turning pro in 2015.

Meanwhile, Cebekhulu is coming off a successful stoppage win against Layten Gloss in July 2023.

Undefeated in his seven pro fights, the 26-year-old South African has shown power with three knockouts but will face his toughest challenge yet against Waseem’s experience.

Waseem’s most recent victory was a third-round knockout of Georgia's Jaba Memishishi in 2024, solidifying his position as one of Pakistan’s finest athletes.

This fight offers him the chance to push for a world title shot, a goal he's been eyeing despite previous challenges, including a visa refusal for a scheduled bout in Denmark.
