Liam Payne has been criticized for diverting attention from Niall Horan during a stop on in Argentina.

Liam Payne, former member of One Direction, has received criticism after attending Niall Horan’s The Show: Live on Tour concert in Argentina on Thursday. Payne was seen interacting with fans and taking selfies during the concert, sparking backlash from some 1D fans who accused him of stealing the spotlight from Horan.

Several viral videos circulated on social media, showing Payne greeting fans while Horan performed on stage. One fan commented, “Harry stayed under the radar when he went to his show but see him seeking attention lol.” Another user criticized Payne for meeting fans outside Horan’s hotel, writing, “Going to a hotel where your ex-band member is staying at, & proceeding to take pics with HIS FANS outside of the hotel is just crazy work.”

Some fans also made light of the situation, comparing Payne to other celebrities. “Tom Felton, Liam Payne, and Taylor Lautner are long-lost siblings why’re they all acting the same,” one user joked.

One Direction has been on an indefinite hiatus since 2016, with each member pursuing solo careers. Niall Horan’s tour is set to conclude on October 9, 2024.
