Cricketer Rashid Khan and three brothers tie knot in traditional Afghan ceremony

Afghanistan's leg-spinner and former captain Rashid Khan has tied the knot.

Photos from Rashid Khan's wedding ceremony have gone viral on social media, particularly on the platform X (formerly Twitter).

Many former and current cricketers attended the event. The wedding was held at a local hotel following traditional Pashtun customs.

Former Afghan captain Mohammad Nabi congratulated Rashid Khan on starting this new chapter of his life and extended his best wishes to the couple.

Kabul was the site of a grand wedding ceremony for Afghanistan's star cricketer Rashid Khan and his three brothers. Videos from the event, held at the Imperial Continental Hotel, quickly went viral on social media, with many of Rashid’s international teammates in attendance.

The wedding reportedly followed traditional Pashtun customs. Outside the venue, several individuals were seen carrying guns as they roamed near the hotel.

Rashid Khan holds the record for being the fastest bowler to take 50 and 100 wickets in T20 format and has previously ranked as the number one bowler in ICC rankings.
