.

LAHORE:

Former president Dr Arif Ali has said that Jinnah House incident was a false operation, asking who will stop what is happening these days.

Addressing a Khatam-e-Nabuwwat conference in Lahore, Alvi said the media is under censorship these days and people have stopped watching television. He said the draft of 26th constitutional amendment will be presented to all stakeholders, lawyers and civil society.

The former president admired Iran, saying the country has taken revenge of persecution. Iran did not target the civilians rather it attacked the airbase, he added.

Alvi highlighted that religious scholars had guided the country through crises and expressed confidence that they would once again lead from the front.

He remarked that justice is essential for preventing crime and cruelty, which the country urgently needs. Alvi questioned, "Will anyone remain unfazed if the police violate the sanctity of 'chadar and char diwari' by trespassing into someone's home?"

On the occasion, former minister for religious affairs, Dr Noorul Haq Qadri said four workers of PTI were killed on May 9, adding no one can hold protest in Islamabad on Israel's brutalities in Gaza. He said some lawyers supported PTI founding chairman Imran Khan after May 9, that is commendable.

PTI leader and MNA Zain Qureshi said no one will be allowed to play with the Constitution. He hinted that some big decisions would be made soon, urging the nation to stay united against injustices.
