ISLAMABAD:

The federal police have arrested a man for allegedly torturing his mother and hurling death threats over domestic issues.

According to a spokesperson for the Islamabad police, the victim reported to Koral police that she has been a victim of her son's daily violence, threats, and mistreatment.

She stated that she has been living at House No 23, Street No ANC in Ghori Town Phase 5, and described her eldest son's behaviour as increasingly intolerable. The woman explained that her husband expelled their son from the family home four years ago due to his disobedience and alleged illegal activities. She claimed he threatened her with a pistol and demanded money from her two other sons, who operate a tandoor. She further alleged that the suspect had threatened her life and that of her son, Omar Abbasi, while often brandishing a pistol and a bottle of petrol in their neighbourhood.
