PESHAWAR:

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to fire those employees that were recruited during the caretaker regime.

It has been revealed that during the caretaker government in K-P, recruitment in government departments was carried out with an NOC from the Election Commission. The K-P government has declared this NOC illegal and decided to introduce legislation to dismiss the employees recruited during this period.

Employees hired through the Public Service Commission, quota systems, or interviews conducted before the caretaker government will be retained in their positions. After forming the government, the current Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government declared the recruitments made during the caretaker period as illegal and decided to dismiss the employees.

A committee, led by Law Minister Aftab Alam, has completed its investigation into the recruitments made during the caretaker government's tenure and has reviewed the legal procedures for dismissing these employees.
