Angelina Jolie goes Instagram official with rumored boyfriend, British rapper Akala

Angelina Jolie has made her relationship with rumored boyfriend, British rapper and political activist Akala, Instagram official.

Over the weekend, the 40-year-old artist was spotted at a New York City event hosted by 49-year-old Jolie for her company, Atelier Jolie.

Akala is clearly visible in a photo from the event, which also includes images of the Oscar-winning actress in the same photo gallery.

The Eternals star was seen interviewing Mustafa at the Atelier Jolie showroom on Great Jones Street.

Jolie, the ex-wife of Brad Pitt, wore a gray suit and black boots, her highlighted hair down as she sat during the event. Meanwhile, Akala sported a black crew neck T-shirt while in the audience.

This sighting comes just two days after Akala accompanied Jolie to the premiere of her film Maria at the 62nd New York Film Festival, held at Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Center.

The caption of the post read, "Atelier Jolie welcomed Mustafa at 57 Great Jones, hosting a special listening party and panel discussion for his debut album, Dunya, out now."

"Join us in celebrating this stunning 12-song collection, where folk meets poetry. The album is available to stream now on all platforms."

Zoe Kravitz was also present at the event and appeared in the Instagram post.

Jolie has been seen publicly with Akala several times amid her ongoing contentious split from Pitt, although sources have told People that the two are just friends.

The actress first sparked romance rumors with Akala when they were seen leaving her hotel in Italy during the Venice International Film Festival in August.

In Touch claimed the actress had been secretly seeing the musician for "more than a year."

Rumors initially started when Akala joined Jolie and her daughters Zahara, 19, and Shiloh, 18, at the Calabash Literary Festival in Jamaica in May of last year.

An eyewitness noted that Akala was "very protective of them as he guided them around."

They reportedly had dinner together in Milan six months later, according to In Touch.

In addition to Zahara and Shiloh, Jolie and her ex-husband Pitt share sons Maddox, 22, Pax, 20, and 15-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox.
