Another lake in the Upper Dir district is going to burst in the valley of Komrat, and the local administration has warned the lower areas to seek shelter on higher ground.
On Tuesday, it was feared the Laspur lake would burst due to global warming and the flow of excessive water to the reservoir. Upper Dir has also recently witnessed such outbursts, such as that of Shah Zur Lake a few days earlier.
The district administration has warned the locals on the banks of the rivers Panjkora and Komrat. Meanwhilem the administration used mosques loudspeakers to warn locals to seek the high ground.
