Bollywood actor Govinda, known for his vibrant on-screen presence, had a rather shocking and unexpected experience on Tuesday morning. The actor was rushed to a hospital in Mumbai after accidentally shooting himself in the leg at his Juhu residence, as per news agency ANI. The incident occurred in the early morning hours as Govinda was preparing to leave for Kolkata for a scheduled show. While handling his licensed revolver, the weapon slipped from his hand, resulting in a misfire that left him with a bullet wound in his leg.

According to reports, Govinda had been planning to head to the airport to catch a 6AM flight, and in the midst of packing, he decided to check on his revolver. His manager, Shashi Sinha, shared some insight into the situation, explaining that the actor was getting ready when the mishap took place. "We had a 6AM flight to catch for a show in Kolkata, and I had already reached the airport," Sinha said. "Govinda ji was about to leave his residence for the airport when this accident happened."

In an unfortunate twist, the revolver fell from Govinda's hand, firing a shot that lodged a bullet into his leg. The injury, while alarming, was swiftly addressed. "He was keeping his licensed revolver in the case when it fell from his hand, and a bullet got fired which hit his leg. The doctor has removed the bullet, and his condition is fine. He is in the hospital right now," Sinha added, reassuring fans and the media that the actor was in stable condition after the surgery.

The news quickly spread, leading to an outpouring of concern for the veteran actor. Mumbai Police also confirmed that Govinda's injury wasn't critical. A police official emphasised that the hospital visit was more of a precautionary measure than a response to a severe injury. According to a report from ANI, the police reassured the public that there was no cause for alarm. The actor's manager added to the update by confirming that Govinda's health had improved following the surgery to remove the bullet.

Govinda himself took to social media to acknowledge the incident and offer his gratitude. In a heartfelt message to his fans, he thanked them for their unwavering support during this harrowing ordeal. "With the blessings of you all and my parents, the bullet has been removed. I thank the doctors and you for keeping me in your prayers," he said, offering a sense of relief to his concerned admirers.

After ruling the box office in the '90s with his infectious energy and comedic timing, Govinda took a step back from acting, leaving many fans eager for his return. That wish was granted when he made a much-anticipated comeback in 2007 with Partner, a film that not only reminded everyone of his magnetic screen presence but also became a commercial hit. The movie's success suggested that Govinda's unique charm was still very much intact.

However, what followed wasn't the triumphant second act his fans had hoped for. Despite Partner's box office success, Govinda's subsequent films failed to capture the same magic. According to Box Office India, titles like Kill Dil, Deewana Main Deewana, and Life Partner, all stumbled commercially, with most being categorised as flops or outright disasters.
