Hadiqa shares throwback photos on son's 18th b-day

Singer marked the occasion with snapshots from over the years

Can anyone believe that philanthropist, singer, and radiant beauty Hadiqa Kiani is a mother to an eighteen-year-old? Hadiqa's son turned 18 on Tuesday, and she marked the occasion with the short but sweet caption, "Happy birthday Naaday Ali. Grateful to Allah for giving me the gift of motherhood."

Hadiqa adopted her son in 2005 from the Edhi Foundation after the devastating earthquake that wreaked havoc across the region. Giving her fans and followers a whirlwind glimpse into her life as a mother, Hadiqa posted a carousel of ten precious photos of the mother-son duo over the past eighteen years. Staying true to the theme of maternal love, the first photo shows both mother and son embracing one another.

For the second photo, Hadiqa opted to post a candid photo taken by her son as they both pose before a mirror. Proudly showing off Naaday Ali in photo number 3, Hadiqa posted a solo photo of her son dressed for a night out in a hoodie and a casual jacket. The fourth photo, by contrast, appears to be taken at a special event, with both Hadiqa and Naaday Ali dressed their best. Naaday Ali is gazing straight ahead at the camera in a black kurta shalwar, as Hadiqa stands next to him radiating elegance in a classic red and gold outfit, gazing lovingly at her son.

For the fifth photo, Hadiqa posted a throwback snap, with mother and son beaming straight into the camera. Remaining down memory lane for the sixth photo, a young Naaday, dressed smartly in a suit and tie, gives the camera his best serious look as Hadiqa stands behind him with a protective hand on both his shoulders, also dressed to the nines for a night out.

The seventh photo once again shows Naaday Ali as a young boy against the beautiful backdrop of sun-dappled mountains, whilst the eighth photo is another precious moment from when Naaday Ali was baby, with Hadiqa holding her bundle of joy close as she gazes wistfully into the distance.

The penultimate photo shows Naaday Ali as a cheeky toddler as he locks foreheads with his mother. And doing justice to the passage of time, for her final shot, Hadiqa proudly showed off a teenaged Naaday Ali standing tall beside her at a football match, one hand slung casually into his pocket. The overarching takeaway? Hadiqa's heartwarming birthday and photos confirm that a mother's love has no bearing on whether her child is biologically hers or adopted.
