Bollywood actress and model Urvashi Rautela renowned for her performances in films like Sanam Re and Great Grand Masti, has named Pakistani bowler Naseem Shah as her favourite cricketer.
At IIFA award ceremony in Abu Dhabi, when asked about her preferred cricketer, Urvashi expressed her admiration for Naseem Shah.
This is not the first instance where Urvashi has been associated with Naseem Shah in the media. Urvashi had also shared a fan made video featuring her and Naseem smiling during a match on her official Instagram handle which instantly sparked a buzz on social media.
Her birthday greetings and congratulations to Shah on his appointment as an honorary DSP garnered significant attention on social media.
Naseem's Instagram account responded with a thank you message, but in a later interview, Naseem clarified that it was actually his manager who replied. He explained that he rarely manages his Instagram himself and had instructed his manager to handle the birthday greetings on his behalf.
Naseem further addressed the rumors saying ,“I only focus on my match. People usually send me videos but I have no idea. I have nothing special in me but I thank people who come to watch cricket and give a lot of respect,” stating he did not know Urvashi and was focused on his cricket career.
