Ex-governor Ishratul Ebad all set for political comeback
Former governor of Sindh, Dr. Ishratul Ebad Khan, has announced the formation of a new political party. The announcement is feared to lead to political upheaval in the urban areas of the province. Dr. Ebad has confirmed that the structure of the new party is almost complete and consultation with various political leaders is in the process. Soon the party will be launched.
He claimed that the new party will fill the political vacuum in Karachi and a strategy in this regard is being prepared. Party work is also going on in various cities and at the initial phase the focus is on finalising the basic structure of the party, after which the names of office bearers will be announced.
Dr. Ebad said that the name and flag of the party have not yet been decided. Therefore, events were held in different cities on August 14 and September 6 under the slogan 'Meri Pehchan Pakistan', which was well received by the public. Dr. Ebad further said, he is in touch with various political figures and many of them have agreed to work with him.
He emphasised that a political vacuum has been created across the country including Karachi and no one is working for the welfare of people. That is why he has decided to form a new party so that the problems of the people can be solved.
Dr. Ebad said that the manifesto of the party is being made. He said that it would be their priority to block the path of elements spreading hatred between the army and the people.
The former governor said, his party's aim is to end the growing frustration among people, especially the youth, and promote love patriotism for the country.
He said that due to the current political, economic, and constitutional crises, frustration among the people is increasing, taking advantage of which some elements are inciting the young generation against the country and its institutions. The slogan of 'Meri Pehchan Pakistan' has been raised in these circumstances to unite the people and take the country on the development path.
