Another patient falls victim to dengue fever

Yet another dengue patient, 63-year-old Mateen Bibi, lost her life to the viral disease at the Holy Family Hospital. So far, the dengue death toll has risen to six patients.

Mateen Bibi belonged to Chak Jalal Din, one of the major dengue outbreak areas. The number of dengue positive patients in this area, which includes Potohar town, is more than that of the entire remaining district. Following Mateen Bibi's death in the hospital's ICU, her body was sent to her home in Chak Jalal Din. After which, the DHA teams fogged the open areas near the deceased woman's house.

In the last 24 hours the number of dengue positive patients reported were 84, while the number of dengue positive patients presently under treatment in hospitals is 174.
