Mark Cuban warns Elon Musk about Trump’s loyalty after Musk declares 2024 ‘America’s Last Election’

Billionaire entrepreneurs Mark Cuban and Elon Musk are at odds over former President Donald Trump, with Cuban issuing a stern warning to Musk about Trump's loyalty following the Tesla CEO’s controversial remarks about the 2024 election.

On social media platform X, which Musk owns, the billionaire claimed that if Trump loses the 2024 election, it could be "America’s last election," alleging that Democrats are conspiring to rig future votes by shifting the electorate. Musk suggested that democracy is under threat, and only Trump can preserve it.

"Very few Americans realize that, if Trump is NOT elected, this will be the last election," Musk wrote. "Far from being a threat to democracy, he is the only way to save it!"

Mark Cuban, former owner of the Dallas Mavericks and longtime Trump critic, responded by cautioning Musk, who has become one of Trump's significant financial backers, about the ex-president’s true nature. Cuban warned Musk that Trump’s loyalty only extends to himself.

"Elon, there will come a time when you need something from Donald Trump. You will think you have earned the right to ask and receive. Then, at the point you need him the most, you will find out...his loyalty is only to himself," Cuban stated.

The feud between Cuban and Musk intensified as Cuban, a vocal supporter of Democratic nominee Kamala Harris, has been actively campaigning to help her win the presidency. Cuban has emphasized Harris's economic plans, contrasting her approach to what he described as Trump’s "impulsive" behavior.

In contrast, Musk has drifted towards supporting Trump and the Republican Party, citing alignment on core values such as meritocracy. Musk, who supported President Joe Biden in 2020, has since moved to the right, dismissing left-leaning ideas as a "woke mind virus."
