In a thrilling finale at Faisalabad's Iqbal Stadium, the Panthers secured a five-wicket win over the Markhors to claim the first-ever Champions One-Day Cup title.
The Markhors, after struggling to build partnerships, were bowled out for a modest total of 123 runs in 33.4 overs. Zain Abbas was dismissed early, while Fakhar Zaman's 46-run effort provided a brief revival before a collapse left the team at 59/7.
Panthers' bowlers, led by Mohammad Hasnain, Arafat Minhas, and Sajid Khan, who each took three wickets, capitalized on the weak performance.
Chasing 123, the Panthers faced some hurdles but a solid start from Umar Siddiq and Abdul Bangalzai pushed them to 78/3.
Skipper Shadab Khan and Rizwan Mehmood then took charge, ensuring a comfortable victory, with Rizwan remaining unbeaten on 16 and Shadab contributing 14 vital runs.
