Family involved in begging offloaded from Umrah flight

FIA claims accused previously travelled to Iraq, Iran and Saudi Arabia

A family reportedly involved in begging under the guise of performing abroad was arrested.

The FIA immigration team arrested Munawar Hussain and Shafia Bibi along with minor while they were trying to go to Saudi Arabia during an operation at Faisalabad Airport.

The accused had allegedly previously traveled to Iraq, Iran and Saudi Arabia for the purpose of begging. The accused were also offloaded from Lahore Airport this month and failed to provide solid sources of income.

Regarding the tax return of the accused, there is no record in the FBR while they also did not have the return ticket and hotel booking.

The accused have been transferred to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Faisalabad for further legal action. Further investigation is in progress.

Meanwhile, City Police Officer DIG Kamran Adil suspended SHO Gulberg Sana Bilal and Investigating Sub-Inspector Muzamil Hussain after an accused escaped from police custody in Sahianwala and was granted bail in a 406 case.

The suspension follows allegations that the two officers overstepped their authority and neglected duties, prompting disciplinary action.

In a similar incident, a case has been registered against 22 personnel including two inspectors, 12 sub-inspectors who allegedly involved in disappearance of dozens of files of different cases.

In the case filed by SHO City Jaranwala, Inspector Mian Zahid Pahlwan, it was stated that Inspector Akmal Jamal Shah, Inspector Mohammad Afzal, Ladies Sub-Inspector Safina Hanif, Sub-Inspector Arsalan and others who were posted in the police station City Jaranwala have manipulated detail of various cases deliberately and with the connivance of the accused.
