RAWALPINDI:

A local court has adjourned the hearing in the alleged illegal construction case against PTI MNA Sher Afzal Marwat until October 10.

Civil Judge Waqar Hussain Gondal heard the case and ordered the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) to present all evidence, witnesses, and complete details at the next hearing. Marwat also appeared in court.

Speaking to the media after the hearing, the PTI stalwart said that the case against him was bogus. "I have filed a petition in the high court against the RDA officials for stealing valuable items from my farm. I will ensure that the relevant RDA officials are brought to justice," he maintained.

Marwat pointed out that the challan was dated 2019, while the case was filed in 2024, saying the next hearing would involve cross-examination of the prosecution's witnesses.
