Afghan nationals identified among eight terrorists killed in North Waziristan

Pakistani security forces have identified another Afghan national as one of the eight terroirst killed yesterday in an IBO in North Waziristan.

The IBO was carried out on 26 September 2024 in the Razmak area of North Waziristan.

The identified terriorst, Jalal bin Naimatullah, was a native of the Bermal area in Afghanistan's Paktika province, Express News reported.

Another terriorst was also identifed as Afghan national. Saifullah, the son of Deen Faraz, belonged to the notorious Gul Bahadur group, linked to the Fitnat al-Khawarij.

The recovery of Saifullah’s identification card, along with an Afghan government-issued weapons permit, confirms his Afghan citizenship and his freedom to acquire arms in Afghanistan.

The operation has revealed further evidence of Afghan Taliban support for the Fitnat al-Khawarij group, which has been facilitating terrorist activities in Pakistan.

This is not the first time that Pakistani forces have found undeniable proof linking Afghan Taliban with these militant factions.

Despite several warnings and the provision of credible evidence by Pakistan, the Afghan government has failed to take meaningful action against these groups.

The Pakistani military has successfully conducted multiple operations against Fitnat al-Khawarij, severely weakening their hold. However, surviving militants have fled to Afghanistan, where they continue to find safe havens.

Yesterday, security forces in North Waziristan conducted a successful operation, killing eight terrorists, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed on Wednesday, Express News reported.

The intelligence-based operation took place in the Razmak area on the night between September 25 and 26, following reports of terrorists present in the area.

According to ISPR, a heavy exchange of fire ensued between security forces and the terrorists during the operation, resulting in the deaths of eight members of the Fitna Al Khawarij (FAK), also known as theTehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the scene.

The military added that the terrorists, referred to as Khawarij, were involved in various activities targeting security forces, as well as the killings of civilians.

This operation comes just days after security forces conducted similar missions in North and South Waziristan, where 12 terrorists were killed. That operation also saw the loss of six security personnel who were martyred during the intense combat.
