Sean “Diddy” Combs’ attorney, Marc Agnifilo, has revealed that the music mogul is "very eager" to testify in his upcoming trial. Combs, currently held in federal custody after being denied a $50 million bail proposal, faces charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and other serious crimes. Speaking in a preview clip for the TMZ documentary The Downfall of Diddy: The Indictment, Agnifilo said, "I don’t know that I could keep him off the stand... He is very eager to tell his story."
The 54-year-old music icon pleaded not guilty to the charges, and his attorney indicated that Combs plans to address key pieces of evidence, including a 2016 security video showing an alleged assault on his ex, Cassie Ventura, at a Los Angeles hotel. Agnifilo added, "He will tell every part of his story... It’s a human story of love, hurt, and heartbreak." The video, published by CNN in May, was followed by Ventura filing a lawsuit in November 2023, accusing Combs of rape and abuse, which was settled a day later.
Combs' trial date has not yet been set, with a status hearing scheduled for Oct. 9, 2024. Despite the serious charges, his attorney maintains that Combs is innocent and will fight to clear his name in court.
